Getting started with quietfolio

quietfolio is a minimal developer portfolio template. It is a static Next.js site with a home page, case studies and a blog. This post is sample content that doubles as a setup guide.

1. Make it yours

Everything on the home page comes from lib/data.ts: your name, bio, links, projects, experience and tech stack. SEO defaults live in lib/site.ts.

2. Write content

Case studies live in content/work.json and posts in content/blog.json. Each entry has a slug, title, date and a list of blocks:

  • h2, h3 — headings
  • p — paragraphs with bold, italic, code and links
  • ul, ol — lists
  • quote, code, table, img

Run npm run validate to catch broken links, missing images and duplicate slugs before you deploy.

3. Replace the images

Swap public/img/avatar.jpeg and the covers in public/img/projects/. The pixel-art banner is generated by scripts/make_banner.py.

4. Ship it

Read the deployment guide. Before you do, set NEXT_PUBLIC_SITE_URL so canonical URLs and the sitemap are correct.
